About Us

Move better. Recover better. Live better.

Mobility Wellness is a family-owned business built around a simple belief: our ability to move is deeply connected to how well we live.

We curate premium, modern equipment designed to support movement, recovery, fitness and healthy aging—from infrared saunas and cold therapy to recumbent fitness equipment, red and near-infrared light systems, vibration platforms and other emerging wellness technologies.

But this business is personal for us.

Our Story

Mobility Wellness was inspired in large part by our family's experience caring for our father.

Over the course of his later years, multiple illnesses significantly affected his mobility and independence. Watching someone we loved navigate those challenges gave us firsthand insight into something that can be easy to take for granted: mobility influences nearly every aspect of daily life.

Being able to stand, walk, exercise, recover comfortably and move independently can affect not only physical health, but confidence, freedom and quality of life.

Our family's experience also taught us empathy for people dealing with limited mobility—and for the family members who help care for them. It reinforced our belief in maintaining strength, fitness and movement for as long as possible, while having access to equipment that makes those goals more achievable.

Mobility Wellness is dedicated in loving memory of our father.

Rather than building a traditional medical-equipment store focused primarily on illness or limitation, we wanted to create something optimistic: a modern wellness destination centered on preserving movement, improving recovery and investing in healthier years ahead.

Fitness, Technology & Wellness Are Part of Our DNA

Our interest in this space extends well beyond ecommerce.

Our founder is a lifelong athlete, active soccer player and fitness enthusiast with graduate education spanning computer engineering and business management. His career includes approximately 17 years in technology, software, technical program and project management across companies including Microsoft, Hulu, WarnerMedia, Lyft, Snowflake and Airbnb.

That technology background influences how we approach Mobility Wellness: research carefully, simplify complicated choices, look for measurable value and make sophisticated products easier for customers to understand.

He's also deeply interested in longevity research, recovery technologies and the rapidly evolving world of evidence-based biohacking.

Our family brings another perspective as well. His partner is a former competitive bodybuilder and cheerleader with firsthand experience in strength training, conditioning and the importance of maintaining the body through consistent movement and recovery.

Together, those experiences shape the three ideas at the heart of Mobility Wellness: Movement. Recovery. Longevity.

Why Mobility Matters

The connection between movement and healthy aging is one of the strongest foundations behind our business.

The World Health Organization recommends regular physical activity throughout adulthood and specifically notes that, for older adults, activity helps maintain functional ability while reducing the risk of falls and declines in bone health. Physical activity is also associated with better cardiovascular, metabolic and mental health outcomes.

That's why we think about fitness equipment somewhat differently.

A recumbent bike isn't simply a piece of cardio equipment.

Resistance equipment isn't simply about building muscle.

Equipment that makes regular movement safer, more comfortable or more convenient may help people build something much more valuable: the ability to keep moving.

And that principle isn't limited to seniors. It can matter to athletes managing injuries, people returning to exercise, individuals with mobility limitations and anyone thinking proactively about maintaining physical capacity as they age.

Science-Informed Wellness

We are excited about emerging wellness technology—but we also believe credibility matters.

We don't believe every trendy wellness product deserves extraordinary claims. Our goal is to curate categories where there is either established scientific support or a meaningful and growing body of research, while being transparent when the evidence is still developing.

Heat & Sauna

Sauna bathing has one of the more interesting bodies of research in the modern wellness space. Long-term observational studies of Finnish sauna use have found associations between more frequent sauna bathing and lower cardiovascular and all-cause mortality, while reviews have explored potential cardiovascular and metabolic mechanisms.

An important distinction: much of the strongest longevity research involves traditional Finnish sauna bathing, so we don't claim that every infrared sauna automatically produces identical outcomes.

What infrared systems do offer is a convenient, comfortable form of home heat exposure that many people incorporate into relaxation and recovery routines.

Cold Therapy

Cold-water immersion has been extensively studied in sports recovery. Meta-analyses suggest it can reduce post-exercise muscle soreness and improve some measures of perceived recovery and muscular performance following strenuous exercise.

The evidence for cold exposure as a direct longevity intervention is much less established, which is why we prefer to discuss cold plunges primarily in the context of recovery, routine and personal wellness rather than promising longer life.

Red & Near-Infrared Light

Photobiomodulation—the use of red and near-infrared light—has an expanding scientific literature. Some systematic reviews and randomized-trial analyses have reported improvements in muscle endurance or post-exercise recovery under certain protocols. Other research, particularly involving whole-body systems, remains mixed and indicates that more study is needed.

That's exactly the type of category we find interesting: promising technology, meaningful research and continued scientific evolution.

Whole-Body Vibration

Whole-body vibration platforms are another intriguing mobility-focused category. Systematic reviews involving older adults have found evidence of improvements in measures including lower-limb strength, functional performance and certain balance or mobility outcomes, although results vary across protocols and populations.

We view vibration training as a potential complement to movement and exercise—not a replacement for traditional physical activity.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy has a long history of use for relaxation, muscle recovery and the management of soreness and discomfort. Research suggests that massage can help reduce delayed-onset muscle soreness after exercise and may improve perceived recovery, flexibility and short-term pain in certain populations.

Massage may also support relaxation by reducing muscle tension and helping people feel more comfortable and mobile after physical activity or prolonged periods of stiffness.

At the same time, we think it is important to keep the claims realistic. Massage should not be viewed as a substitute for exercise, physical therapy or medical treatment, and its benefits can vary depending on the individual, technique and condition being addressed.

That is why we view massage chairs and other recovery-focused massage equipment as supportive wellness tools — useful for relaxation, recovery and comfort, especially when incorporated into a broader routine that includes regular movement, strength, mobility work and appropriate medical care when needed.

Low-Impact Fitness

Perhaps the least futuristic products in our collection have some of the strongest rationale of all.

Regular aerobic, resistance and balance-oriented exercise remains fundamental to maintaining cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength and functional ability throughout life. WHO guidance specifically emphasizes both aerobic activity and muscle-strengthening exercise for older adults.

That is why low-impact cardio equipment, recumbent exercise machines and accessible strength equipment belong alongside saunas, cold plunges and modern recovery technology in our store.

What We Look For

We don't want Mobility Wellness to become an endless warehouse of loosely related products.

Our goal is to curate equipment around a few core principles:

Quality — Products designed to justify a meaningful investment.

Function — Equipment that has a clear role in movement, fitness, recovery or wellness.

Ease of use — Sophisticated products shouldn't have to feel complicated.

Thoughtful design — Equipment that can belong in a modern home rather than making it feel like a clinic.

Credible benefits — We prefer evidence-informed wellness over miracle claims.

Support — High-ticket equipment deserves knowledgeable service before and after the sale.

Wellness Without the Clinical Feel

One of the reasons we created Mobility Wellness is that shopping for these products can be surprisingly fragmented.

Fitness equipment lives in one store.

Saunas live somewhere else.

Cold plunges have their own specialty retailers.

Mobility-focused equipment can quickly become clinical.

And emerging recovery technologies can feel like they're designed exclusively for elite athletes or hardcore biohackers.

We wanted to bring these worlds together.

Whether you're an athlete trying to recover more effectively, someone thinking seriously about healthy aging, a family helping a loved one stay active, or simply someone investing in your long-term health, our goal is to make premium wellness equipment easier to understand, easier to compare and easier to bring home.

Our Mission

To help people move more freely, recover more effectively and invest in healthier years ahead.

For us, mobility isn't simply about getting from one place to another.

It's about maintaining the freedom to keep doing the things that make life worth living.

And that is what Mobility Wellness is ultimately about.
